I went in to fort Jesse cafe wanting biscuits and gravy I've been told amazing reviews about them when I bit into the biscuits I felt amazing. I felt warm and welcome as if this was at my server my second mom. The place look like a lovely hometown statement and a becon of beauty.

Jordan, our server, was excellent. He was attentive to our specific requests and checked on us frequently to see if we needed anything. I was impressed that he told us his name a second time after taking our drink order. This helped me remember his name in case we needed something. I have always coming to this restaurant for their excellent and unique food and their quality service.

Love coming here! They just expanded which makes it feel so much roomier in there! Our server Jordan T was super nice and we received great service from him. Food was super tasty, very large portions so come hungry! The cold brew was great too! I would recommend getting a reservation... if not you may be waiting for a bit.

We loved everything about our visits here. We were recommended by a local family while we were in town on vacation and this was the only place we went for breakfast each day!!

The Gumbo was good but had almost no liquid. It was very chunky. It came with a nice big piece of cornbread. The side order of chicken strips was excellent. Incredibly tender. They have a variety of homemade dipping sauces - buffalo red hot (good), chipotle (average), jalapeno ranch (great), honey mustard (great). The coffee is nice and bold!

Food and pricing was amazing. The staff was friendly and our server Ashley was very attentive. Can't wait to see their coffee bar addition in the future. It was about 40$ on average for two.

We have tried to go here the last two times we've been in town without any luck, so definitely make a reservation. The food was delicious and unique with top notch service.

T unassuming brunch place in Normal is the absolute go to for casual yet eclectic dining! Families of all ages are welcome, and it has a bit of a "sit around your kitchen table" feel. Don't let that fool you, both the food and the service are excellent! This place has mastered the art of friendly service, and if you've been here more than once, you become family. Not to be missed are the monthly specials. There's almost always a pancake special, and a special beverage as well. Also, throughout the month they will have featured sandwiches. This morning I sampled the Irish cream cold brew, coffee, with a clove whipped cream on top. Not to be missed! Tasted like a dessert. This featured skillet is corn beef and cabbage, corn, hash browns, carrots, onions, hollandaise sauce, cabbage, fresh parsley, and topped with two eggs made the way you want them. This dish is often a "two-fer", and may well be tonight's dinner. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My husband knows if we're within a 500 mile radius of Fort Jesse Cafe then we must stop. I'm only half joking. The dining experience - from food to finish - is amazing! I tried something different on my second visit. This time I went with waffles with sides of eggs, bacon and fruit. The light sprinkle of powdered sugar atop the waffle was delicious. I ate so much of the waffle I barely had any room for the sides. It's fully worth the indulgence! This place is pretty packed even on weekdays. We did not have a reservation, so we had a 10 minute wait. No problem - just level setting expectations for my future, fellow diners! The staff has such cool, laidback vibe. Even though I think it's the best dining experience in town, there's no arrogance. There's a sense of pride and appreciation for supporting their business and food. We

Oh my goodness. The 5 stars are very well deserved. Location, odd, in a more industrial setting, store front. We had the country fried steak, OMG was amazing. The flavor was great, portion size was great as my hubby and I shared it and was perfect. I also had a 1/2 French toast. It was very good too, but didn't need it with portion size of country friend steak. The blackberry jelly was amazing. Definitely a great price too. Will be back
